Why Honors?

The Honors College offers more than academics. It provides a community that supports personal growth. As a first-generation immigrant and transfer student, I’ve learned to adapt to new environments and face uncertainty head-on. This journey has taught me the value of connection and support, which are qualities I see within the Honors College. It is the kind of environment where I can continue to grow while helping others feel seen, supported, and included, and to me, that is what the Honors College is all about.
